Hearos Earplugs Hi-Fi Natural Sound Musician's Ear Plugs (NRR 12)

Purchased these for my job and they work out great! They make the noise of the hoods and general hum of the kitchen tolerable without making it impossible to hear coworkers when they talk to me.

We wore this in China where EVERYTHING is double in volume! I like the fact that one can vary the attenuation by how tightly you wear it.

Natural Sound is an accurate description. These are like wearing no plugs at all. The first time I wore them I had to do an A/B test to make sure they were doing anything. They were! Highly recommend for moderate ear protection needs.

I playwill bagpipes.These are definatly a step up from your average foam ear plug. A little uncomfortable at first, but I can HEAR the music as if I were not wearing ear plugs, just at a lower volume.

Just daily rock band rehearsal still left my ears ringing, NRR 12 is too low for rock or any amps with drum kit and all electric instruments to be played live, I could just use these on the bus, or walking down the street, but really not enough, music is still fairly clear, I have tried all these, and only a higher rating is useful for real live practice and performance, with clearly hearing the bass and the highs (alpines work with over NRR 22, but still some lack of clearly hearing everyone),I play electric violin! let me know which one is clear and yet cuts out at least 20 to 28NRR

I am male and on the large side, but the smalls fit perfectly and seem effective. But I also tried the Etymotic High Fidelity plugs (frosted blue tips) and found they look, fit, and work as well, for a third less, and the ETY's come with a cord, Hearos don't. Note, the Hearos foam plugs are listed as NRR 22, but these are NRR 12, which isn't on the web page.
